Jamie

Gale

Founder/ Director

​

Besides being a co-founder and co-director of Creative Soul Camp and all of its programming, Jamie holds a BA in Spanish and is certified to teach yoga. Jamie is also the owner of little om BIG OM, a program that provides yoga for kids and families. She also has many other successful businesses including Boss Mama, Meet Me in Child's Pose, Lit Path Studios (a Podcast Network), and The Star Counselor. Jamie can be found chasing around town with her three energetic teens.

Corissa is a talented business owner (All About the Drama) and Para-educator! She loves being a part of Creative Soul and has been with it since the beginning bringing dramatic adventures and performances customized but the campers! She loves hiking in nature, coffee and spending time with her family.​​​​

Kyra

Brown

Afterschool Club Leader

Kyra is a current student at UW-Madison studying Psychology. She is a caring and experienced childcare provider dedicated to creating a safe and loving environment for children. With 6 years of experience, she prioritizes fun, learning, and nurturing relationships.

Alex

Walsh

Afterschool Club Leader

​

Alex is a student at UW-Madison studying English with a minor in Education and Gender and Women's Studies. In high school Alex worked as a piano teacher, volunteered at the local Youth Center, and has also volunteered as a tutor for multiple subjects throughout both high school and college. She hopes to pursue a Masters in Secondary Education as she works toward her goal of becoming an English Teacher.

Hannah Kietzm

Camp Culinary Specialist

Hannah is a current junior at St. Olaf College majoring Political Science and Environmental Studies. A Dane County native, Hannah has always loved baking and cooking for her family and friends. She was active in the Dane County 4H food project through middle and high school. During her spare time she loves reading and crocheting.

Tara Charlotte

Founder/ Director

Tara has over 20 years experience working in education and a degree in Marketing. Besides being a co-founder and co-director for Creative Soul Camp and all of its programming she is the owner and creator of Yummy Sprout, a program offering culinary classes for kids. Her favorite ways to spend time include cooking with her family, trivia, yoga, writing, painting, traveling, reading books and taking her dogs for walks.

Mara will be a third year education and Spanish student at UW-Madison this fall! She loves being a part of Creative Soul and helping to lead creative programming. She brings a calm and fun energy everyday and the students and staff adore her! Outside of school and work, she loves being outdoors, hiking, and biking!

Britta Seaberg

Afterschool Programs

Site Director

Britta is a Middleton native and has spent most of her life in the Madison area. She recently returned from working abroad as an Elementary school English teacher in South Korea for 2 years. She has a bachelor's degree from UW-Madison in Social Work and enjoys being involved in her local community. In her free time she enjoys cooking, baking, drawing and painting, reading novels, and taking long walks.

Nora is a sophomore at UW-Madison studying Wildlife Ecology. She loves to spend time outside however she can, especially with horses, and is involved in Hoofer Riding Club, and Hoofer Mountaineering Club. She is passionate about sharing her love for science and art with kids, and loves to get everyone's creative juices flowing!

Amanda Goes Mosquim

Afterschool Club Leader

Amanda is a student at UW-Madison studying Psychology and Communication Sciences & Disorders. Born and raised in Brazil, she moved to Wisconsin in 2022. She is obsessed with musicals and loves to sing and act. In her free time, you can find her doing karaoke, performing in her school or community theatre, exploring art museums, or watching her favorite movies and TV shows.

Allyssa

Thao

Afterschool Club Leader/ Camp Culinary Specialist

Allyssa is currently a student at UW-Madison majoring in Information Science while also pursuing a certificate in Digital Studies. Coming from a large family, she has grown up helping her mom and relatives cook.  In her spare time, Allyssa enjoys listening to music, spending time with her friends and family, and playing video games. She is also an Instructor for Yummy Sprout so you will see her in the kitchen with our students as well!

Shalon Atwood

Administrative Assistant

A trained postpartum doula and self-described craft nerd, Shalon has spent most of her career in the non-profit sector, managing volunteer programs for basic needs organizations. When not in the kitchen making desserts with her two kids, she can be found tackling her extensive backlog of fiber arts projects, pondering existential questions like, "how much yarn is too much yarn?", and writing queer love stories.

Margaret is a rising senior studying Education Studies and Psychology at UW-Madison. When she’s not working with children, she enjoys baking new recipes, hiking, and exploring coffee shops in Madison!

Guen is  a wonderful addition to our afterschool team and an aspiring artist who is passionate about spreading creativity! She loves to paint, hang out with her cats, watch movies, and all things art!

Sadie attends UW studying neurobiology. She loves working with kids. In her free time she likes to go hiking, try new foods, and spend time with friends and family. She is from Denver, CO and loves the mountains and outdoors!

Kristin Knope

Art Instructor

Kristin is going to be a junior in the fall studying Human Development and Family Studies at UW-Madison. She has a passion for working with children, they teach her something new everyday and they know how to keep her smiling. Outside of work and school, you can find her listening to music, at a local coffee shop, and spending time with her loved ones. She loves being a part of Creative Soul and their focus on enriching children to explore and be creative!
